Happy Birthday to Me!

Yesterday was my 28th birthday, and it was really strange but kind of cool to be spending it in a foreign country. Since it was Sunday and I didn’t have to work, I had a very relaxing day. The only disappointment was that it was cloudy and a little cool most of the day, so I didn't get to go to the pool. I did get to talk to my parents and my sister on the phone, and also got to talk to Zack and see Sadie on the webcam. I got lots of nice emails and messages on Facebook too, so thank you for all of the nice birthday wishes!

Last night, I had a great birthday dinner with friends here in Chile. We went to a restaurant called Kilometer Zero (KM 0) in the W Hotel. It was really nice with a great atmosphere and delicious food. It was a fun evening with my friends (a mix of Chileans and Americans), and it was a fantastic way to spend my birthday. I even got a few gifts and they brought my dessert out with a candle!

Zack and I will be continuing the birthday celebration this weekend in Argentina! I can't wait! Hope everyone’s week is off to a good start!
